Timekeeper Files

File Information for Timekeeper version 0.81 and before

This page discusses the various files needed to run Timekeeper on your computer.

Files normally on your computer

TDPGM.MDB	The Timekeeper program connected to your data.
TDTBLS.MDB	Your data. You should make regular backups of this file. When TDTBLS does not exist an empty TDTBLS is created from TDINIT. This usually happens when Timekeeper is installed on your computer.
TDUTIL.MDB	The Timekeeper Utility program. It is used to perform various administrative tasks including backup.
TDSTRUC.MDB	The empty data structure used by TDUTIL. TDSTRUC is used whenever TDTUIL needs to convert a data file in an obsolete format to the format expected by TDPGM.
TDINIT.MDB	The initial data. It includes the initial lists of services and attributes. TDINIT is not used when TDTBLS exists.
TDDEMO.MDB	A Timekeeper program to use for learning and demonstrations.
TDDTBL.MDB	The data for the demonstration program.
TDHELP.HLP	The Timekeeper Help file.

Files that might also be on your computer

TDTBLS.OLD	A backup file for TDTBLS.MDB created when it is necessary to update the format of TDTBLS.
TDDTBL.OLD	A backup file for TDDTBL.MDB
TDCLV.MDB	A large data file for demonstration purposes.
TDUSER.MDB	An obsolete name for TDCLV.MDB
TDTBLDD.MDB	An obsolete name for TDDTBL.MDB
TDTEMP9.MDB	A temporary file which should only exist while TDUTIL is running.

For each .MDB file there can be a .LDB file. These can be ignored.

The Timekeeper program group in Windows contains the following icons:

Timekeeper for Time Dollars

This is the program you normally use. Runs TDPGM.MDB with TDTBLS.MDB as data.

Timekeeper Utility

Used to perform various administrative tasks. Runs TDUTIL.MDB. Normally references TDTBLS.MDB but may reference other files as well.

Timekeeper Demo

Used for learning and demonstrations. Runs TDDEMO.MDB with TDDTBL.MDB as data.

Timekeeper Help

This is a preliminary version of Timekeeper online Help. Runs WINHELP with TDHELP.HLP as data.
